Safety & Maintenance for your jungle gyms

While choosing the ideal jungle gym for your child, keep in mind the following aspects:

Apparatus should be chosen according to your child’s age.

BunduKids provides a range of playground equipment to fit different age groups and our jungle gyms can be altered or extended to accommodate the changing needs of a growing child.

Ensure that the equipment is of good quality and in excellent condition. Any surface exposed to the elements will age and deteriorate with time. Maintenance is essential.

BunduKids uses treated poles and timber and our craftsmen manufacture the apparatus by hand to ensure splinter-free, well-finished products. Only the best wood dressing is used, as central South Africa is known for its harsh weather conditions. Woodoc products, with good UV inhibition and water repellency, protects and treats the wood, leaving it looking good for longer. All sharp edges (rods, screws, nails etc.) are smoothed away, in order to prevent injuries. BunduKids provides a maintenance- and refurbishing service at a cost, as we understand that busy life styles leave little time for these duties.

Space at your disposal determines the design of the jungle gym.

BunduKids gives you the opportunity to design your own unit to suit your requirements and available space. We cater for the smaller townhouse garden, as well as school playgrounds, nursery schools, day care centres, etc.

Supervision

Please note: children should be accompanied by a grown up while playing on a jungle gym, since irresponsible play on these equipment may lead to injuries.

Gym Construction

For BunduKids the safety of the children playing on our equipment is of great concern, therefore while constructing our jungle gyms, we pay special attention to the following:

• cca treated, SABS approved logs and timber are used
• logs are sanded by hand and machine to ensure a splinter-free product
• galvanised threaded rod, nuts and washers are used and are cut and finished off to ensure no sharp edges that could cause injuries; bolts are counter sunk where needed
• wood dressing (Woodoc) is lead free and safe to use, especially on the junior gyms that are designed for toddlers
• safety nets on bridges
• reinforcing logs support the construction, therefore it’s not necessary to plant the platform, resulting in a moveable jungle gym

• Prices may change without prior notice.
• Quotations are valid for a period of 21 days.
• Prices exclude delivery and installation.
• We require a 50% deposit upon placement of order and the outstanding balance upon delivery.
• All products and materials with regard to any jungle gym or furniture, remain the property of BunduKids until fully paid.
• It is the client’s responsibility to ensure proper entrance to premises when playground equipment is delivered. Should it be needed to dismantle and re-erect the jungle gym on site, an additional fee will be charged.
